Event Details

Once again Techgirlz is partnering with the Scratch Team at Penn School of Education to bring you an Introduction to Scratch.

This Event is targeted for 6, 7, and 8th Grade Girls.

Program Description:

Scratch Introduction: Making Animations, Art, and Video Games
Ever wanted to make animations, interactive stories, moving artwork, or video games? In this workshop we will use Scratch to make neat stuff. Scratch is a visual programming environment (http://scratch.mit.edu) where you can make images move, interact, grow, fade, and even draw by themselves on screen. Everyone will make their own projects in Scratch - you may make one or many and you’re expected to get help from friends - in fact, get your friends to sign up too! We will do various activities to help you learn some techniques, but we encourage creativity. We’ll all share projects in the Scratch site where you can see & comment on your friends’ projects. No computer/IT experience necessary - the only prerequisite is knowing how to move a mouse!
